Senior Systems Integrator

Your Profile and Role

You will assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated systems. You will work in collaboration with other experienced engineers and technicians to support control systems, PLC programming, and network integration. To ensure our organization success, you will use your ability to organize and manage your time effectively. You will demonstrate initiative, self-reliance, and strong communication skills.

Your Leadership Role

As the Senior System Integrator and the primary technical point of contact in our regional office, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring seamless collaboration between local field staff and the head office. While you won’t have direct supervisory duties, you’ll be the trusted liaison, supporting your teammates, coordinating with headquarters, and making sure your office runs smoothly from a technical operations standpoint.

Key responsabilities

Assist with SCADA and Automation projects at all stages (evaluation, development, installation, commissioning, maintenance and optimization).
Assist in assembling and wiring control panels based on project specifications.
Program various data concentrator and protocol Gateway.
Identify and communicate technical problems, procedures and solutions.
Work collaboratively with engineers and senior technicians to analyze users’ needs, improve system efficiency, and estimate length of project.
Document system configurations, issues, and resolutions.
Act as the lead System Integrator in the regional office, providing hands-on technical support and guidance to junior technicians.
Serve as the primary liaison between the local office and headquarters for all OT-related matters.
Ensure local teams have the tools, access, and systems they need to operate effectively.
Manage and maintain critical OT infrastructure, including servers, SCADA systems, and secure network environments.
Coordinate technical field interventions and ensure proper documentation and follow-up.
Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for complex system issues.
Champion best practices in cybersecurity, network health, and system resilience.

What we are looking for

Must have:

5+ years of experience in Operational Technology, IT, or related fields, preferably in industrial or energy sectors.
Proven ability to work independently and lead by example.
Strong communication skills and comfort interfacing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience coordinating across offices or teams is a strong asset.
Training/education in the field of Automation & Controls (bachelor’s or associate degree, technical diploma, or relevant coursework).
Good understanding of IT and OT integration, to include PLC programming, electrical circuits, and control systems.
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
Familiarity with SCADA, HMI systems, or industrial networking.
Hands-on experience with PLC programming.
Strong IT skillset.
Troubleshooting, problem-solving, and good communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a branch office.
Willingness to travel up to 30% to different project locations throughout the US and Canada, as needed.
Valid driver’s license

 Nice to Have:

Experience with Inductive automation’s Ignition platform
Experience with Zabbix
Experience with SEL’s RTACs, DNP3, & IEC 61850
Previous experience with IT/OT as it pertains to renewable energy isn’t required but is a big plus!
